How Long Does It Take to Transfer Videotapes to Digital?

Transferring a videotape to digital format, whether that format is to a DVD or to a USB, can take 15 minutes or 8 hours depending on the length of the tape. Here at Our Memories in Motion, we go one step further and remove the blank beginning and ending of each tape so what you receive is only the footage and none of the "snow" before and after the video.
The process for a typical 2 hour videotape goes something like this. First the tape is converted to digital, which being a 2 hour tape means it takes 2 hours to convert. After the videotape is converted to a digital format, that file is then edited using software that allows Our Memories in Motion to remove the blank beginning and end of the tape. After the editing is complete, the final digital file or DVD file is created.
If the tape is being converted to a DVD, a few more steps are needed. This includes burning the DVD file to a disc along with designing the DVD case and DVD disc covers, something that makes Our Memories in Motion unique. You don't get a branded boring DVD case and cover when you choose Our Memories in Motion. You receive a DVD case and cover with screenshots from your video footage so you know exactly what's on your disc.
